Technical Update May 2025: Don't be tempted to cut T2 fungicide rates in dry weather
With the current dry conditions, it may be tempting to reduce T2 fungicide rates. However, please consider the following before making any changes:
🟢 The T2 application is to protect key yield building leaves for the next 4 to 8 weeks – is it going to remain dry during that period?
🟢 Not all diseases are wet weather diseases, so maintain rates for the control of septoria AND rusts.
🟢 If the flag leaf has emerged early, the T2 application might now need to last 1 week longer than you’d anticipated.
🟢 Crop potential is generally good. Don’t risk missing out on the yield potential in your crop by cutting corners on protection at this critical timing.
Univoq™ at 1.25L/ha at T2 has been a consistently good performer since launch in both wet and dry seasons. Over 2 million hectares have been treated with Inatreq products since launch and many growers and advisors would not consider a programme without it now.
