Haroldo Cunha operates a livestock and crop production farm near Turvelândia, in the southwest region of Goiás state, Brazil, planting 5,600 hectares of no-till soybeans, maize, cotton, green beans and sorghum. He has implemented precision farming methods to optimize the use of inputs, leverages manure from his livestock to reduce the need for fertilizers, and integrated pest management to combat pest and disease pressures. In addition, Haroldo has implemented a reforestation program, planting trees along the margins of water flows and dams, and now produces a tree seedling practice to keep trees healthy and viable.
