With more than 65 percent of U.S. soybean acres planted to Enlist E3® soybeans in 2025, farmers have discovered many advantages the Enlist® weed control system brings to their farms. Now, they’re looking to take those benefits across the turnrow to their corn acres.
“So many farmers have found value in Enlist E3 soybeans, and now an increasing number of them are putting those same benefits into their corn acres,” says Eric Scherder, Ph.D., U.S. crop protection technical lead, Corteva Agriscience. “Many farmers are really excited by the performance they’re seeing from Enlist corn this year, and we’re expecting more acres of Enlist corn in 2026.”
The foundation of any successful corn hybrid is elite germplasm. Yield pays the bills but weed and insect pest control play an integral role supporting the development and protection of that yield potential.
“Enlist corn has tolerance to glyphosate, glufosinate, 2,4-D choline and FOP herbicides for exceptional control of broadleaf weeds and grasses, as well as volunteer corn and/or soybeans,” Scherder says. “Applying Enlist herbicides on Enlist corn gives growers the flexibility to spray corn up to V8 or 30 inches in height — whichever comes first.”
In addition to the other basic herbicide chemistries used in corn today, farmers now have four modes of action from which to choose in the Enlist system to better target weed species by tailoring their weed control program on a field-by-field basis.
Vorceed® Enlist® corn provides above-ground insect protection traits that include:
The three below-ground insect protection traits found in Vorceed Enlist corn include the RNAi technology:
“When growers plant Vorceed Enlist corn, they can have confidence that they’re getting the best above- and below-ground insect pest protection and herbicide trait combinations that are matched with superior yield potential and agronomics from one of the largest corn germplasm libraries in the world,” Scherder says.
Use the following five principles of a program approach with the Enlist weed control system to manage weeds on their Enlist corn acres:
Farmers can expect effective, neighbor-friendly weed control with both Enlist One and Enlist Duo herbicides. Scherder advises using qualified nozzles for near-zero volatility and to help reduce physical drift.
“Enlist corn and the Enlist weed control system can help improve crop health, tackle tough weed issues and maximize yield potential,” adds Scherder.

The transgenic soybean event in Enlist E3® soybeans is jointly developed and owned by Corteva Agriscience and M.S. Technologies L.L.C. Following burndown, Enlist Duo® and Enlist One® herbicides with Colex-D® technology are the only herbicides containing 2,4-D that are authorized for preemergence and postemergence use with Enlist® crops. Consult Enlist® herbicide labels for weed species controlled. Enlist Duo and Enlist One herbicides are not registered for use or sale in all states and counties; are not registered in AK, CA, CT, HI, ID, MA, ME, MT, NH, NV, OR, RI, UT, VT, WA and WY; and have additional subcounty restrictions in AL, GA, TN and TX, while existing county restrictions still remain in FL. All users must check “Bulletins Live! Two” no earlier than six months before using Enlist One or Enlist Duo. To obtain “Bulletins,” consult epa.gov/espp/, call 1-844-447-3813, or email ESPP@epa.gov. You must use the “Bulletin” valid for the month and state and county in which Enlist One or Enlist Duo are being applied. Contact your state pesticide regulatory agency if you have questions about the registration status of Enlist® herbicides in your area. ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW PESTICIDE LABEL DIRECTIONS. IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL AND STATE LAW TO USE ANY PESTICIDE PRODUCT OTHER THAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS LABELING. ONLY USE FORMULATIONS THAT ARE SPECIFICALLY LABELED FOR SUCH USE IN THE STATE OF APPLICATION. USE OF PESTICIDE PRODUCTS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, 2,4-D-CONTAINING PRODUCTS NOT AUTHORIZED FOR USE WITH ENLIST CROPS, MAY RESULT IN OFF-TARGET DAMAGE TO SENSITIVE CROPS/AREAS AND/OR SUSCEPTIBLE PLANTS, IN ADDITION TO CIVIL AND/OR CRIMINAL PENALTIES.
