Expectation vs. Experience: Farmer Feedback on PowerCore® Enlist® Corn

When PowerCore® Enlist® corn hit the licensing market a few years ago, it was certainly big news. New and different genetics, tolerance to four herbicides, three modes of action against above-ground insect pests — it’s no wonder why it’s one of the fastestgrowing above-ground traits. But how do those benefits hold up when the rubber meets the row crop? To find out, we scoured the web to see what farmers were saying and dug into our notes from farmer interviews. Our non-scientific research uncovered three common things farmers like about PowerCore Enlist corn: yield, effective weed control and ease of use. Their feedback offers a revealing look at where expectations meet reality, and where the story of this technology is still unfolding.

The story of PowerCore® Enlist® corn is still unfolding, but early signs point to a strong alignment between what was introduced and what farmers are experiencing. Corteva Agriscience outlined clear goals around yield, weed control and convenience, and now growers across the country are sharing results that reflect those expectations. Their feedback suggests a product that’s not only delivering but earning trust. As more farmers put it to work, the trait’s reputation steadily shifts from promising to proven.
